Canoe-Kayak journey - The Memorable
An intense day on the Tarn river

A 23 Km journey along the Tarn river. You experience
the clear and green waters of the Tarn. Leaving one
of the many Tarn meanderings, you just arrive in
the historical village of Sainte Enimie (one of the
most beautiful village in France).
Your canoe just slide on the swashing waters, quicken
in the rapids and slow down in deep and green quiet
swallow holes. |
You arrive in Saint Chély du Tarn with its incredible
bridge accross the Tarn (on the rare village on the left
bank of the Tarn). You here meet a fresh waterfall whose
bustling warters flow into the Tarn (you even can experience
a passage under the waterfall, but it is rather cold and
you might sink after that ...)
A few miles after, you arrive in front of the château
de La Caze, with its nice park. The Tarn river just slow
down, looking like wanting to have time to enjoy the landscape.
On the left bank, the Hauterives
village can only be reached by crossing the river on a
boat. Further, you find the ruins of a medieval building,
then the ancient Castellos castel.
A couple more rapids and you reach Le Soulio. It is
here that starts the Unmissable,
the second half of your journey.

You will have a presentation of the journey in
the bus that drive you from the Cirques des Baumes
to your departure point, not far from Sainte Enimie.
