A day in the Gorges du Tarn

A nice journey in the Gorges du Tarn Canyon (about 10 km).

At the entrance of the village of La Malene, close to an ancient mill, you will find a dam. You start just before the dam or just after (following your mood ...). You then sail on the nicest and narrowest part of the Gorges du Tarn Canyon.

Every paddle in the water is a pleasure. Your canoe just passes between the big rocks on the shores, quicken in the rapids and then slow down on the green deep water swallow holes.

You can make some stops to enjoy swimming and diving in the deep waters of the Tarn (quite safe). The landscape is just breathtaking, especially in the narrowest part of the Canyon called " the Détroits".

Every rock will remind you of an animal or a person... You eventually arrive in the Cirque des Baumes, at the foothill of the Point Sublime and your car is here just waiting for you.
